Created from the indigenous variety Malvasia de Colares, own-rooted in the sandy soils of Colares. This deep layer of sand lies on top of a clay-limestone “motherrock,” creating a natural protection against phylloxera and infusing the plant with a variety of minerals. It's pressed whole bunch (allowing for lots of phenolic expression) and aged for 1 year in 225L French oak barrels.
