The fruit comes from a high parcel above Samaniego, at around 630 meters on limestone soils, surrounded by holm oaks, thyme, and lavender, and the wine is made with no added sulfites. The result is a bright, fresh, almost translucent red that leads with red fruit and floral aromatics rather than weight or oak. It is Rioja as vineyard portrait rather than blend, and a lovely showcase of the estate's more experimental, terroir-first direction.
