Domaine Felettig, Corton Grand Cru "Les Grandes Lolieres", 2023

Felettig's lone Grand Cru — a tiny parcel of red Corton tucked just below Le Rognet. Domaine Felettig — second generation under Gilbert and Christine Felettig — farms just 0.30 hectares of Corton Grand Cru in the lieu-dit Les Grandes Lolières on the Ladoix-Serrigny side of the famous Corton hill, on east-facing clay-limestone soils. 100% Pinot Noir; around 1,200 bottles a year. The cuvée has only existed since the 2018 vintage. The Felettig touch — perfumed, classical, never showy — translates beautifully to Grand Cru scale here: expressive aromatics that stay vivid even after a flight of Côte de Nuits, with a delicate fineness rare for Corton. A serious bottle from a quiet pillar of Chambolle.
