Harper's Rest, Moon Dust Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2023

Harper's Rest, Moon Dust Vineyard Pinot Noir, 2023

Same vineyard, same moon-dust sand, but now in red: this is the still Pinot Noir off Harper's Rest's Moon Dust block, tucked into the cool, fog-fed Sebastopol Hills of the Russian River Valley. The Underwood family planted roughly eleven acres of Pinot here across six clones, farming it regeneratively and organically before handing the fruit to a minimal-intervention cellar. No commercial yeast, no additives, just fourteen months in French oak, on the lees, undisturbed. The Goldridge soil that gives the vineyard its name is exactly the kind of pale, sandy ground that pushes Pinot toward perfume and lift rather than weight. A debut release from a site built for this grape.
