From Oslavia, the Collio hilltop that's the birthplace of orange wine, Primosic makes a beautifully classic version of Friulano. The family produced the very first bottle ever labeled under the Collio DOC, so their roots in this corner of Friuli run deep. This bottling skips the skin contact, instead fermenting in stainless steel after a short cold maceration to capture Friulano's signature almond-and-pear character with bright freshness. The vines grow on ponca, the local clay-marl soil of Eocene origin that gives Collio whites their mineral lift. The 2021 is crisp, textured, and built for the table.
